Private Referral Letters
Need a private referral letter to see a specialist? Book a video or telephone consultation with Gogodoc online and receive a private referral letter on the same day.
Our GMC-registered GPs can assess your case and issue a referral letter promptly following your consultation.
Please note: An additional £35 fee applies for the referral letter, which will be invoiced to you by email after your consultation.
Doctor Referrals
GP referral letters are essential documents that help patients access specialist healthcare services for a range of purposes, including:
Specialist Consultation
Referral letters allow patients to see specialist doctors or healthcare providers for further assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Diagnostic Tests
Certain medical investigations and diagnostic procedures require a GP referral before they can be arranged.
Treatment Planning
Referral letters are important when specialised treatments or therapies are only available through specialist care.
How It Works
If you require a referral to a specialist service, our experienced GPs at Gogodoc can provide a same-day referral following your initial consultation.
Appointments can be booked as a telephone or video consultation via our website or by contacting our clinic directly. After your consultation, an invoice of £35 for the referral service will be sent to you by email.
Once payment has been received, your referral letter will be issued promptly and emailed to you. You can then present it to the private clinic, hospital, or consultant of your choice.
What You Will Receive
A professionally written referral letter on Gogodoc headed paper, including the doctor's full name and GMC registration number.
A clear summary of your current medical condition, including when your symptoms began.
Details of the specialist or private healthcare service required, with the urgency for consultation clearly stated.
Your personal information, including your full name and date of birth.
Gogodoc Clinic contact details, so the receiving provider can contact us if further clarification or support is required.
Please note: We are only able to provide referral letters for private clinics, hospitals, or consultants. NHS referrals and referrals to NHS GP services are not available through this service.
PLEASE NOTE ALL IN-CLINIC APPOINTMENTS WILL BE AT OUR CLINIC IN HARLEY STREET
